Ephs lead Little 3 in championships won for 25th consecutive year
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Williams won 17 outright
Little Three titles in 2009-10 and tied for three more to finish
atop the Little Three competition with Amherst and Wesleyan
again.
The Little Three is the nation’s oldest athletic conference
without a membership change, dating back to 1910.
This marks the 25th consecutive year that the Ephs have won the
most Little Three titles in an academic year. Currenlty there are
24 Little 3 titles up for grabs.
Amherst was the last school to win more Little Three titles than
Williams when back in 1984-85 they totaled 10 to the
Ephs’ seven and Wesleyan’s five.
Overall this year the Ephs rang up a Little Three record of
51-13-1 (.792), while Amherst compiled a record of 35-26-1 (.573)
and Wesleyan notched a record of 8-55-2.
