Ephs top Little Three competition for 24th straight year

Williams won 11 outright Little Three titles in 2008-09 to finish atop the Little Three competition with Amherst and Wesleyan again.

The Little Three is the nation’s oldest athletic conference without a membership change, dating back to 1910. The Ephs also tied for two titles with Amherst and owned a piece of five three-way titles with Amherst and Wesleyan.

This marks the 24th consecutive year that the Ephs have won the most Little Three titles in an academic year. Amherst won the most Little Three titles back in 1984-85 when they totaled 10 to the Ephs’ seven and Wesleyan’s five.

Overall this year the Ephs rang up a Little Three record of 43-20-2 (.677), while Amherst compiled a record of 37-23-2 (.613) and Wesleyan notched a record of 13-50-2.
