NESN to Televise Williams vs. Amherst Battle of Brainpower in October
Yep, the purest rivalry in America – Williams vs. Amherst -- is about to add another chapter. As if competing head-to-head in 25 sports each year and in the Admission Office were not enough for this storied rivalry. Now three students from each school get to represent their school in the first round of NESN’s 2012 Schooled Tournament in a battle of brainpower.
So you think you’re pretty smart... Able to think on your
feet?
Well here’s your chance to prove it. The New England Sports
Network (NESN) is holding open casting for Season 2 of
“Schooled: NESN’s College Faceoff”, this
Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Paresky
Center
Schooled is a reality television series on NESN that pits college students from New England colleges and universities against each other in a battle of brainpower. In each episode of Schooled, two college teams compete in smash mouth academic and intelligence-based challenges. The winning team at the end of an episode will move forward in a tournament-style bracket, while the defeated team is eliminated.
Hosted by comedian Michael Showalter, Schooled will test the contestants' IQs in pressurized, time sensitive situations, all to gain regional bragging rights.
The ultimate winning team of three students will enjoy cash and prizes but best of all, bragging rights.
The NESN casting crew will be in Paresky on September 12 and 13 and will be searching for three Eph students to go up against three students from Amherst in an episode to be filmed in October in round one of the 2012 Schooled Tournament.
Who knows, you may be one of the Ephs selected to represent Williams and earn the right to compete against the best and brightest from other New England area colleges and universities.
