DiCosmo, Pinto, Benz earn First Team All-NESCAC honors
HADLEY, MA. A trio of Williams College baseball team senior cocaptains Max Pinto and James DiCosmo, and junior Dan Benz were named First Team All-NESCAC Wednesday, while a fourth, sophomore Al Mathews, garnered Second Team honors.

Amherst walks off with 9-8 win over Ephs in NESCAC elimination game
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Amherst senior captain Neal Allar drove the first pitch he saw from from Williams reliever Zach Stone to deep center field, scoring Jose Espinosa with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Jeffs walked off with a 10-9 victory in an elimination game of the NESCAC Tournament Saturday afternoon.

Ephs drop NESCAC Tournament opener to Tufts, 1-0
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Tufts senior left-hander Adam Telian tossed a complete-game seven-hitter Saturday morning, helping the Jumbos to a 1-0 win over Williams College in the first round of the NESCAC Tournament.
The Ephs (24-11) will face the loser of the Trinity-Amherst game at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at Wesleyan University's Andrus Field.

The Ephs wrap up their Arizona trip 12-4 overall, 3-0 in conference play. The Ephs open the northern part of their schedule Thursday at 4:15 p.m. at home against Elms College.

Thats the simple message Williams College baseball coach Bill Barrale chose to relay to his team during one of the first official meetings of the preseason.
His message was clear: Leave 2007 behind. The 27 wins, the NESCAC title (Williams first since 2001) and the trip to the NCAA Tournament. That season, and the nine seniors who helped the Ephs achieve those goals, are long gone.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. A steady rain reduced Saturdays scheduled doubleheader between MIT and Williams to a single-game affair. The Ephs scored three runs in their final at bat to rally past the Engineers in the afternoons only tilt, 5-4.
