Former Eph Baseball Player Mike Barbera '89 and his D.C. Grays of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League

WASHINGTON, DC – Former Eph baseball player, Mike Barbera '89, wants to make one kid each game a lifelong baseball fan and he wanted to honor the Homestead Grays of the Negro League with his entry into the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League with a team in Washington, D.C. called the D.C. Grays.

Barbera who works in D.C. and lives in Alexandria, VA, even went so far as to have Under Armour design throwback Grays' uniforms for his team to wear.

The Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball league is a wood bat league. The Grays will play their home games at Gallaudet College and Eph junior pitcher Charlie Baxter will be on the Grays' roster for the season.

You can read more about the D. C. Grays in Dan Steinberg's feature article in today's Washington Post HERE.
