
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Williams junior defensive back Ladd Hamrick (Charlotte, NC) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District I First Team.
Hamrick is a three-year letterman who was a backup until game two this season when he got his chance to start. Making the most of primetime Hamrick has notched 39 tackles (4th most on team). 21 of Hamrick's tackles have been solos,
Additionally, Hamrick has broken up three passes, picked off one and returning it 26 yards, and assisted on a tackle for a loss.
A two-time Academic All-NESCAC honoree, Hamrick has made the Dean's List (min. GPA of 3.5) each semester, while majoring in both history and political science.
Hamrick was an AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Good Works Team nominee earlier this fall in recognition of the numerous community service ventures he has engaged in, both at Williams and in the Williamstown area, and back home in Charlotte.
