BOSTON, MA — Williams College senior strong safety Dan O'Mara was one of 28 players representing 20 teams named to the 2011 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England team.

The team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Banquet on Thursday, December 8, at the Montvale Plaza, in Stoneham, Mass. People interested in attending should contact Dick Lipe at Bentley University at 781-891-2334.
O'Mara was one of five players from the NESCAC chosen for the team. O'Mara recorded a NESCAC-leading five interceptions this season returning those for 135 yards. He also had 54 tackles (42 solo, 12 assist), three pass break-ups, one forced fumble, one recovered fumble, and 1.5 tackles for loss (6 yards).
Previously, O'Mara had been chosen as a First Team All-NESCAC selection. O'Mara was one of four captains for the 2011 Ephs, who finished their season with a 5-3 record.
