The 2003 season saw the only Bobcat win over the Ephs, as they snapped a string of 15 straight losses with a 10-7 victory at Weston Field.
Last year's matchup in Lewiston, ME featured Eph senior QB Pat Moffitt connecting on 21 of 29 passes for 280 yards and three TDs in a 41-0 Eph win.
The Ephs have won the last seven games vs. Bates. The Ephs have scored at least 24 points vs. Bates in 20 of the previous contests.
Bates will stride onto Weston Field coming off a 28-9 win over Tufts last week at home, while the Ephs are smarting after falling to Trinity on the road 21-13.
COACHES: Aaron Kelton is now 9-1 in his second season at the helm of the Ephs after suffering his first loss at Williams last week at the hands of Trinity in Hartford, CT, 21-13.
Kelton is the first African American head football coach at Williams and in NESCAC, as well as the first Eph football head coach to debut with a perfect season (2010).
Kelton won the NESCAC and Little Three titles in his debut season and was named the 2010 NESCAC Coach of the Year.
Kelton is 1-0 vs. Bates.
Mark Harriman (24-82) is in his 14th season as head coach of the Bobcats. Harriman also serves as the quarterbacks' coach, after functioning as the team's defensive coordinator and/or linebacker coach for the past 12 seasons. He is also the assistant director of the college's athletics program.
Harriman has won two CBB (Colby-Bates-Bowdoin) titles in his head coaching tenure.
Harriman is 1-12 vs. Williams.

AWARDS: Two Bobcats garned NESCAC awards for their roles in the win over Tufts. Senior OLB Brett McAllister notched two sacks, two INTs, two pass break-ups five tackles in helping to contain the Tufts' offense and was named the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Junior RB Patrick George collected the NECAC Special Teams Player of the Week award for returning two kickoffs for 55 yards and was successful on a two-point conversion. He also netted 84 yards on the ground, scoring a TD on 22 carries.
