MIDDLEBURY, VT. -- Coach Alix Barrale said it best when she commented on her team having an incredible comeback Sunday afternoon to defeat Middlebury, 2-1. The Panthers (11-4) outfought the Ephs (6-9) last Friday in a 7-1 victory, but couldn’t hold off the Purple Cows when it counted: quarterfinals.

MIDDLEBURY, VT. Despite matching the Panthers (11-3, 6-3 NESCAC) in shots attempts throughout the competition Friday afternoon, the Ephs (5-9, 5-4 NESCAC) couldn’t prevent Middlebury’s potent offense from finishing in the circle resulting in a 7-1 Panther victory.

Ephs fall to Tufts, 3-0

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. Williams (5-8, 5-3 NESCAC) showed a lot of hustle despite the constant downpour Saturday afternoon at Renzie Lamb field for senior day, but couldn’t overcome the Jumbos improving their record to 12-1, 7-1 in NESCAC. The field was slippery, but both teams managed to maintain composure throughout the competition.

Union defeats Williams, 2-0

SCHENECTADY, NY. Union College improved their record to 7-7 after defeating the Ephs (5-7) in Wednesday’s non-conference match-up, 2-0. William’s offense suffered a lack of intensity in the absence of senior captain Anne de Saint Phalle (Bronxville, NY) who is recovering from an injury. Despite the loss, the Ephs look to challenge Tufts Saturday and improve upon their 5-2 NESCAC standing.
