LYNDONVILLE, VT – The Williams men's basketball team defeated Lyndon State (6-7) tonight 90-59.
The Ephs (15-1) went down 8-0 to start the game but led 43-30 at the half. In the second half, the Hornets rebounded and cut into the Eph lead. They were able to make it just 54-46 with 7:40 left to play. The Ephs, however, ended the game on a 36-13 run.
Leading the way for the Ephs tonight was Taylor Epley with 24 points. Michael Mayer added 15 for the Ephs, and James Klemm rounded out the double-digits club with 14. The Ephs shot 56.5% from the floor on the night.
Jason Gray led the way for Lyndon State with 18. Devyn Baranauskas added 12 and George Carle 11. As a team, the Hornets shot 37.5% from the field.
The Ephs return to the floor on Sunday to take on Hamilton at 2:00 PM.
