Kevin App walked on the Cornell University men's basketball team as a guard candidate and he left the Big Red program as a four-year letterman and a senior tri-captain.

App earned Rebounder's Club Award at Cornell as a senior.

After graduating from Cornell in 2007 with a B.S. in civil engineering App joined the Clark Construction Company, LLC, in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served one year as an office engineer.

App has served on the summer camp staffs at both Cornell and West Virginia University, along with being a CYO coach and an instructor at the DSM Shock Basketball Clinic.
