Eph Men's Ice Hockey Supporting MSLF with "Goals to Assist" For Third Consecutive Year

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- The Williams College men's ice hockey team (4-0-2),ranked 12th natioanally, is soliciting donations from individuals and families in the Williamstown community, on campus, and from local businesses to support the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund [MSLF). As part of the effort, called "Goals to Assist the Children of Fallen Soldiers," the Eph pucksters are asking folks to pledge a donation for every goal the team scores at home this season.

This marks the third consecutive year that the Ephs have participated in the Goals to Assist funding program. At the end of the season, the Williams players will collect the donations and
deliver 100% of the money to MSLF to support the college educations of the children of Massachusetts' soldiers who have lost their lives serving the country. Complete information about
the MSLF can be found at www.mslfund.org.

To date, the 2011-12 Ephs have already secured over 20 donor pledges worth nearly $60 per goal.

The Williams team scored 48 goals at home last year and raised over $4,000. This year the Ephmen have set a goal of raising at least $5,000.

The Ephs will continue to accept donations throughout the season and would appreciate any support for fans can devote to this great cause.

Those wishing to donate to the Ephs' "Goals to Assist" can contact Williams team co-captain, Ryan Scott at rjs1@williams.edu
