
HADLEY, MA -- Williams College senior forward and captain John Wickman (Dallas, TX) was named the NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for tallying three goals over the weekend, including two game-winners.
Wickman found the back of the net three times in a perfect 2-0 week for Williams. The forward scored what proved to be the winner 1:25 into the third period of his team's 5-3 win at Tufts on Friday. He then added his second winner of the weekend, scoring the opening goal just 1:10 into the first period of the Ephs' 5-0 victory at Connecticut College on Saturday.
Wickman capped off his week with another tally in the second period against the Camels.
To date Wickman is tied for second in scoring on the Eph team with classmate Evan Dugdale with 14 points. Wickman's point total includes 6 goals and eight assists.
Wickman has played in 88 games in his Williams career, scoring 18 goals and assisting on 28 more.
The Ephs are back on the road tonight for a game at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. The puck drops at 6:45 PM.
The 11-4-2 Ephs who are 9-2-1 in NESCAC (second place) will resume NESCAC play this weekend when they host Trinity Friday at 7:00 PM and Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM in Lansing Chapman Rink.
