HADLEY, MA Senior goalkeeper Stephen Vrla (Paradise Valley, AZ) and senior defenseman Andrew D-Ambrosio (Arlington, VA) were selected to the 2010 All-NESCAC First Team recently. Senior face-off specialist Corey Jacobs (Somers, CT) was named to 2nd Team All-NESCAC.

Williams mens lacrosse saw its season end this afternoon with a 13-9 loss to seventh-ranked Tufts in the NESCAC quarterfinals. Williams finishes the season with a 5-10 record.

Ephs stumble against Middlebury, 4-3, will take on Tufts in NESCAC quarters
Williams mens lacrosse couldnt pull out a victory on Senior Day, falling 4-3 to Middlebury in a game marked by the exceptional play of the goalies from both teams. Williams fell to 5-9 on the season and 4-5 on the NESCAC with the loss. Williams finished seventh in the conference, and will take on Tufts on Sunday.

12-5 defeat to Bowdoin lands Ephs in tie for 4th in NESCAC
Williams mens lacrosse lost to Bowdoin in Brunswick this afternoon, 12-5. The Ephs, who fell to 5-8 overall on the season, now stand tied with Amherst , Middlebury and Colby for fourth in the NESCAC at 4-4. Bowdoin climbed to 8-5 overall and into sole possession of third place with a 5-3 record.

Williams mens lacrosse found its stride on Saturday against Wesleyan behind an exceptional performance from senior netminder Stephen Vrla, claiming a 6-5 overtime victory on a goal from sophomore Michael Acierno with 7.7 seconds to play to break a three-game losing streak.

Union comes back to edge Ephs 7-6
Williams mens lacrosse fell to Union Wednesday night on the road 7-6 after two fourth quarter goals. The Ephs are now 4-6 on the season. Mike Ryan led the Eph attack with two goals and an assist, while Corey Jacobs won 12 of the 17 faceoffs in the game and Eph netminder Stephen Vrla stopped 9 shots.

Goalie Stephen Vrla stopped 14 shots to keep Williams mens lacrosse in the game against Amherst, but the Ephs ultimately could not defeat the Jeffs, losing 7-5 to fall to 4-5 on the season and 3-3 in the NESCAC.

Conn. College upends Ephs 7-6 in Williamstown
Williams mens lacrosse was unable to stop Conn. Colleges undefeated streak at home tonight, as the Ephs fell to the Camels 7-6 in a tightly contested game. The Ephs fell to 4-4 on the season and 3-2 in the NESCAC, while the Camels, moved to a perfect 9-0 on the season 5-0 in the conference.

Williams mens lacrosse continued its early season win-streak today as the team defeated Randolph Macon 11-6 to push its record to 3-0. Mike Ryan scored 3 goals for the Ephs and Sam Hargrove picked up a game high 3 assists. The game marks the teams second game of five straight on the road.

Williams mens lacrosse pulled out a 7-6 victory over Colby this afternoon to open its season. The Ephs claimed the victory behind stellar play in goal from Stephen Vrla, who had 11 saves in total and 9 in the second half, and great work in the attack from Matt Cranshaw, who had 2 goals and 2 assists on the game.
