
NEW HAVEN-- The Williams men's squash team completed an important weekend at Yale 1-2, finishing Sunday with an 8-1 loss to Franklin and Marshall.
Taylor Foehl earned Williams' only point on the day. Foehl jumped out to a 2-0 lead, playing in the number three spot, but lost his third game. Leading 5-4 in the fourth game, Foehl was able to pull away to win the game 11-7.
Nick Marks trailed 2-1 but forced a fifth game with an 11-7 win in his fourth game. Marks then came back to tie the fifth at 9-9 before falling 11-9.
Alec Greaves-Tunnell lead 2-1 but his match was forced to five games. Trailing 10-7, Greaves-Tunnell battled back to 10-9 but could not complete the comeback, falling 11-9 also.
Trailing 2-0, Kevin Chen won his third game at number one. Chen then trailed 10-1 in the fourth game and came all the way back to 10-9, only to lose 11-9.
Williams will enjoy a day off tomorrow and prepare for yet another busy weekend coming up at home. Brown University will come to town Friday night, followed by Amherst and Wesleyan on Saturday. Williams will then try to avenge an upset loss to Columbia at last years national championships on Sunday afternoon.
