Eph Swimming & Diving Teams Collect Team and Individual Academic Awards From CSCAA

Steve Kuster's 2011-12 Williams men's swimming & diving team that won a 10th consecutive NESCAC championship and finished 8th at the NCAA Championships has won both team and individual academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). Eight members of the 2012-13 Ephs earned individual academic recognition from the CSCAA.

Kuster's Eph women's swimming & diving team recorded an undefeated regular season, captured the Little Three title, collected their 12th straight NESCAC championship and finished second at the NCAA Championship. Five team members earned individual academic laurels from the CSCAA this year.


CSCAA Team Scholar All America Award

The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).

Kuster's 36-member men's team compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.46, 6th best in NCAA Division III and best among NESCAC teams.

The 30-member Eph women's team compiled a team cumulative GPA of 3.42.

 

CSCAA Individual Scholar All America Award

The Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average, and have qualified for their respective national championship. The award is presented in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).

Eight Eph men met the academic standard for the Scholar All-America Award.
