WILLIAMSTOWN-- The Williams men's tennis team (13-0) picked up a smooth out of conference win on Saturday, taking down Vassar College 8-1. Kevin Shallcross and Will Petrie cruised to an 8-2 win in their pro-set at number 3 doubles, and Felix Sun and Matt Micheli won 8-4 to give the Ephs a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Williams turned in a solid performance in singles, taking all six matches. Zach Weiss was the only Eph not to win in straight sets. Weiss lost his first set 6-2, but recovered to scrape out the second 7-5, before taking his super tiebreak 10-5. Felix Sun had the most convincing singles performance, taking his match 6-2, 6-0. #3 Williams will take on archrival and #1 Amherst on Sunday in Williamstown. Match time is set for 2:00.
