Biology major who hopes to attend veterinary school after graduation…active on campus as a housing coordinator, genetics teaching assistant and team rep to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).  Honored as an NFCA All-America scholar-athlete in ’07… has played every position for the Ephs in her career with the exception of shortstop and first base…played ice hockey and volleyball in high school.

First Year 2005:
  Played in 33 of 38 games as a true utility player, seeing time in the outfield, 3B, 2B, catcher and as a DP and pinch hitter…hit .281 with 7 doubles.

Sophomore 2006:  Split time as catcher and outfielder and became the primary catcher in the post-season run to the D3 College World Series.  Hit .247, had a .985 fielding % and was 5-5 in stolen bases.

Junior 2007:  Breakout year as our primary catcher, Powers hit .311, slugged .515, and had six homeruns…had three pickoffs and threw out 12 runners attempting to steal…a second team All-Conference selection.
