At the end of the fall season the Ephs were ranked 14th nationally, but co-head coaches Kris Herman and Fran Vandermeer and the Ephs know that the team ranked in the fall will not be the same Williams team that tees off this spring.

Ephs Place 4th Out of 15 Teams in Mt. Holyoke Tournament
The Williams College women’s golf team placed fourth overall in a 15-team tournament hosted by Mt. Holyoke College. The team shot 236 on their second day of the tournament for a total score of 670. Sophomore Mary Gelber placed second overall out of 75 players; she fired a 78 on both days for a total of 156 to finish one stroke out of first. Hayley Milbourn of Amherst College placed first in the tournament.

2007 Women's Golf Season Outlook
Three of the five golfers who led the Ephs to 10th place at the NCAA Division III National Championship last June return to campus this spring to play for first year co-coaches Kris Herman and Fran Vandermeer. Herman will coach the fall season and Vandermeer will lead the program in the spring.

The Ephs are ranked 12th in the Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Preseason top 25 poll. Defending NCAA champion Methodist is ranked first and captured 16 of a possible 17 first place votes and has a total of 423 points. Three NESCAC teams are ranked in the top 14 with Middlebury 8th, Williams 12th and Amherst 14th.
