Georgi Salant and Victoria Student Named All-East Region by NGCA; Duo Profiled on NCAA.com

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The National College Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) has named Williams sophomore Georgi Salant and junior Victoria Student to the NGCA East Region Team.

This marks the second consecutive year that Salant has earned the honor, while Student is being honored for the first time. For six straight years the Ephs have had at least one player earn East Region Team honors.

Over the course of the fall and spring competitive seasons Salant claimed wins at Vassar and Wellesely and finished in the top 10 at each of the seven tournaments the Ephs played, while Student also finished in the top 10 in six of the seven.

Through the first two days of the NCAA Tournament Salant and Student are leading the Ephs who are currently in fourth place despite being seeded 11th in the 19-team field. Salant has a two-day total of 151 that places her in a tie for second place and Student's 158 puts her in a tie for 16th.

"Victoria and Georgi are both so deserving of this award," stated Eph head coach Erika DeSanty. "They have served our team as positive leaders and fierce competitors all season. We're fortunate to have them represent our program and I am truly fortunate to be their coach."
