The Williams women’s squash team (6-7) faced their toughest opponent of the season Wednesday night with stands and hearts full. But even the big cheering sections were not enough to stave off a well-matched Dartmouth team. The Ephs fell 5-4 to their rivals.

Ephs Defeat the Polar Bears, Mules, and Bobcats
The Williams women’s squash team headed up to Maine this past weekend, where it solidly defeated Bowdoin College, Colby College, and Bates College. These wins were the start to the most important month of the season for the squash players.

5-Women Team Event Debuts at Williams
The first ever CSA five Women Team Championship took place this past weekend at Williams College in Williamstown MA. This event arose from the imbalance in the college schedules created by the US Squash - run Men's five man team tournament, heavily populated with CSA men's teams and traditionally held in mid December.

Williams women's squash is currently ranked seventh in the nation, but according to Eph head coach Zafi Levy, brighter days may be coming. "We're excited to stay in the top division (top eight) of the CSA women's league," said Levy.

The Ephs Fight the Yale Bulldogs
The Ephs faced off against the Yale Bulldogs Thursday evening at Yale to walk off of the courts feeling confident about their play. The Williams players lost 7-2 to Yale, with Toby Eyre and Ashley Eyre winning their matches in the one two positions, respectively.

Williams’ women’s varsity squash team took on Harvard University’s team at the Simon Squash Center courts this past Sunday. “This weekend was a great start to the season. Everyone worked hard and played well,” said junior Arianna Kourides.

It was an intense afternoon for the Ephs as they faced off against players from both Stanford and Tufts in their first two matches of the season. Both matches, which were played at the Simon Squash Center at Williams, were strong signs on of the season ahead.
