WILLIAMSTOWN – The Ephs finished their long weekend of matches against Middlebury, a major rival from last season. After falling twice to the Panthers last year, the Ephs were determined to prove themselves as a better, stronger team.
Continuing their momentum from Saturday's match against Dartmouth, the women fought hard across the board. Highlighting their great fitness, the Ephs outlasted their opponents, leaving everything on the court.
Sisters, Carolyn and Hannah Kaemmer, had incredible performances, producing decisive wins in three and four games. Laura Henry and Caroline Sawin also played amazing squash, giving the Ephs two more wins in tough four gamers. Courtney Bogle gave the Ephs their fifth win after coming back from being 2-1 down to take the match, as well as secure Williams' win over Middlebury.
Although putting up a great fight, Alli Rubin and Alyssa Northrop fell just short in exciting four game matches, while Ellie O'Neill and Eliana Saltzman fell in three.
The women are very excited about their win over Middlebury and can't wait to continue on with the rest of the season. They will be traveling to Wesleyan and Columbia next weekend for another round of matches.
