Ephs overcome record heat (upper 90s) to down 10th-ranked Redlands, 8-1


REDLANDS, CA – Despite playing in record heat (upper 90s) against the University of Redlands, the 10th-ranked team in the nation, the Purple Cows of Williams prevailed 8-1 boosting the Eph record to 6-1.

With the loss Redlands drops to 8-4. "Redlands pushed us hard," commented Eph head coach Alison Swain. "They're a smart team, but we stuck to our game plan and pulled out the win. It was a good day for Williams tennis."

The Ephs, ranked third nationally, will travel to Pomona-Pitzer (ranked 8th) for a 4:00 pm PST match tomorrow that will conclude the California portion of their spring break trip.
