Ephs in NCAA Tournament Play

Since NESCAC was permitted to compete in the NCAA Tournament in 1994 the Ephs have qualified 20 consecutive years.

Williams won the 2001 and 2002 NCAA titles to become the first NCAA Division III team to repeat as champions.

Under rookie head coach Alison Swain '01 the Ephs won their third NCAA title in 2008 and then repeated in 2009, also under Swain. Swain then guided the Ephs to a third consecutive NCAA title in 2010, running the Ephs NCAA Tournament win streak total to 15.

Swain's 2011 Ephs captured a fourth consecutive NCAA title elevating their NCAA Tournament streak to 20 and giving the Ephs the most titles in Division III (6).

The "drive for five" was culminated in Cary, NC when the Ephs downed U Chicago 5-2 for a record-breaking five NCAA titles in a row and raised their overall total to 7 NCAA titles. The Ephs notched their sixth consecutive NCAA title with a 5-2 win over Emory in a match played indoors on the campus of Kalamazoo College, May22, 2013.

Swain was a senior captain and played on the first Eph team to win the NCAA title in 2001.

The Ephs are currently 63-13 (.829) all-time in NCAA Tournament play and own the record for most consecutive NCAA titles won (6), most wins (63) and team titles (8).
