Sophomore hurdler Elise Johnson earns All-America honors
First year Elise Johnson notched a sixth place finish in the 100 high hurdles this afternoon and garnered All-America honors. Johnson was timed in 14.27. She posted the highest finish on day three of the championships for the Ephs.

First year Lizzy Danhakl set a Williams record in the 800 and classmate Elise Johnson had one of her best races in the hurdles and both advanced to Saturday's finals at the NCAA Track & Field championships at the University of Wisconsin-Oskosh.

Ephs finish 31st out of 53 at ECAC Championships
Williams sent a small contingent to the ECAC Championships at Springfield College and three Ephs scored in the meet. The Ephs tallied nine points and finished in 31st place.

Eph senior Carrie Plitt '08 helped carry the Williams women to victory with wins in the 200 and 400 meters. Plitt's time of 24.95 seconds in the 200 set a meet and a facility record.

Williams Women beat the Heat and the Competition and Dominate Little Threes
The Williams track and field team headed to Amherst on Saturday to face bitter rivals Amherst and Wesleyan in order to reclaim the title of Little Three champions. Conditions were prime for sprinters and jumpers alike which yielded many personal bests and helped fuel the Ephs great performances.

Williams track & field coaches and team members sponsored a free clinic for local junior high and high school athletes on April 6th. Over 85 students attended and 10 area coaches representing schools: Drury, Lenox, Mt. Anthony, Mt. Greylock, Mt. Anthony and Wahconah.

Lauren Philbrook wins 10000; Natalia Rey de Castro 2nd at Univ. of Richmond Invite
Lauren Philbrook won the 10000m run in a time of 38:40.87 and finishing second to her was Natalia Rey de Castro (41:11.82). Heather Bemis, Ariel Williams, Olga Kondratjeva and Lissy Robie teamed up to post a time of 9:09.67 and claimed second place.

Ephs stronger on day two at Shamrock Invite; Philbrook 2nd in 5,000
Junior Lauren Philbrook logged the Ephs best finish on day two at the Shamrock Invitational with a second in the 5,000. Philbrook led three Ephs who finished in the top six crossing the line in 18:18.40. Mary Feeley was fifth in 19:18.67 and Karin Knudson was 6th in 19:46.54.

Moira Yoe posted the best individual finish with a fifth place in the 10,000 in 39:47.38. Beth Links cracked the top ten in the event coming in ninth in 40:45.91.

Wild All-American in 800; 4X400 All-American -- Ephs tie for 9th at NCAA Championships
Sara Wild punctuated her first trip to the NCAA Championships with an individual All-American honor as she placed fourth in the 800m run. The first year sensation was timed in 2:15.24.

Women's Track and Field Place Seventh of 26 Teams at Season-Opener
Women’s track and field opened their indoor season Sunday, January 13th at the 39th Annual Dartmouth Relays. The lady Ephs faced a variety of competition, including high school, international and club teams as well as Division I, II and III schools. Northeastern University claimed the title with a score of 88.5 points, edging out Dartmouth College (49.25) and Université de Sherbrooke (36.25). The Ephs finished seventh of 26 teams.

Ephs finish 6th at Reebok Games
The Ephs headed to Boston on Friday evening to compete in the Reebok Boston Indoor Games,hosted by Northeastern University. The Ephs were ready to run fast, paced by top Division I competition and run on a banked track for the first time this season.
