4x400m hit new season record at first day of ECACs

TROY, NY -- After the first day of events at ECACs hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the women's track and field team is in eighth place with 13 points. Ithaca is currently in first place with 31 points after 8 events. 

The Williams 4x400m team recorded an outstanding season best of 3:50.88. The team of Maya Harakawa '12, Tanasia Hoffler '13, Ashely Graves '15, and Desiree Daring '13 ran almost five seconds faster than their old season best time of 3:55.43 from last weekend. 

In the distance events, Alison Smith '15 placed fourth in the 5000m with a time of 17:27.33. Amelia Ortiz '15 finished the 10000m in 38:14.04 for seventh place. 

The meet will continue on Friday, May 18th with the shot put at 10am and 4x100m at noon.
