MEDFORD, MA - The Williams College volleyball team (23-9) suffered a heartbreaking 3-0 (16-25, 16-25, 23-25) loss to the Tufts Jumbos in the NCAA New England Regional Championship.

Volleyball Advances to NCAA Regional Championship
MEDFORD, MA - After four intense games, the Williams College Volleyball team (23-8) won the semi-final match of the NCAA Regional Tournament by defeating UMass-Boston 3-1 (25-16, 15-25, 25-21, 25-22). The Ephs have now earned a spot in the championship against the winner of the Wellesley-Tufts match beginning at 7p.m.

MEDFORD, MA - The Williams College volleyball team (22-8) advanced to round two of the NCAA Regional Tournament after defeating Emerson College in three sets (25-22, 25-14, 25-16).

Eph trio earns All-NESCAC honors
HADLEY, MA — A trio of Eph juniors were chosen for the New England Small College Athletic Conference’s all-league teams Wednesday. The Williams tandem Kate Anderson (Berlin, Mass.) and Nicole Ballon-Landa (La Jolla, Calif.) were named to the All-NESCAC First Team for the second year in a row. Junior setter Emily Avis was selected to the All-NESCAC Second Team.

Ephs head back to Tufts for NCAA Tourney match with Emerson College
Rookie head coach Christi Kelsey steered the Williams volleyball team to its third straight NESCAC title over the weekend at Tufts and the Ephs will be back at Tufts this Thursday afternoon to open NCAA play.

MEDFORD, MA - The Williams College volleyball team (21-8) defeated the Tufts Jumbos in the 2009 NESCAC Championship. The Ephs, who lost to Tufts three times earlier this season, took down the Jumbos 3-0 (25-19, 29-27, 32-30).

MEDFORD, MA – For the 4th year in a row, the Williams College volleyball team (20-8) has earned a spot in the NESCAC volleyball championship. The Ephs took down the Connecticut College Camels 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 27-25) and guaranteed themselves a matchup against the Tufts Jumbos in the finals on Sunday.

MEDFORD, MA – The Williams College volleyball team (19-8) defeated seventh-seeded Bowdoin College to win the quarterfinal round of the 2009 NESCAC Volleyball Championship. The Ephs took down the Polar Bears 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-12) and will now advance to the semifinals.

NEW LONDON, CT – The Williams College volleyball team (11-5) suffered a 3-2 loss to Wesleyan (24-26, 25-16, 18-25, 25-21, 14-16) on the first day of the Connecticut College Invitational Tournament. The Ephs, who defeated the Cardinals 3-0 at last month’s MIT Invite, struggled back and forth with Wesleyan for each point.

CAMBRIDGE, MA – The Williams College volleyball team (7-3) won two straight games in the first day of the MIT Invitational. The Ephs took down Endicott (3-0) and NYU (3-2) in day one of competition. Their success in day one has placed the Ephs in the Championship bracket going into day two.

HOBOKEN, NJ – The Williams College volleyball team (4-3) finished the Stevens Tech Invitational tournament with an overall record of 1-2. On the second day of play, the Ephs dropped a match against host Stevens (26-24, 22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 13-15) and later defeated SUNY-Cortland 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-17).

HOBOKEN, NJ – The Williams College volleyball team (3-2) suffered a 3-1 (24-26, 19-25, 25-21, 19-25) loss to Eastern University in the first day of the Ducks Classic hosted by Stevens Tech. The Ephs faced stiff competition from the Eagles, who are ranked #21 nationally.

The Ephs suffered an early 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-18) loss to UMass-Boston and later won 3-1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-10, 25-19) against conference opponent Trinity College on the second and final day of competition.
