Two Williams College juniors and one sophomore have earned All-NESCAC honors in women's cross country. Juniors Kaleigh Kenny (Glen Rock, NJ) and Brianne Mirecki (East Lyme, CT) were joined on the All-NESCAC First Team by sophomore Adrienne Strait (Oakland, CA).
This Eph trio all finished in the top five leading the Ephs to the 2012 NESCAC title. Kenny finished third in 21:27, Mirecki was timed in 21:47, capturing fourth and Strait took fifth with a time of 21:50.
The five Eph scoring runners at the NESCAC Championship all finished in the top 18 and the entire 7-member team finished in the top 21 in an impressive effort against a field with several nationally ranked teams and individuals.
Peter Farwell who serves as the Ephs' head coach of both the women's and men's teams was named the NESCAC Coach of the Year for the second straight year and the fourth time since he began coaching the Eph women in 2000.
The Eph women have now won a conference-leading 13 NESCAC Championships.
On November 10th the Ephs will travel to Westfield [MA] State University for the NCAA Regional race and the chance to advance to their 20th consecutive NCAA Championship race.
