- Squash (Women’s): Women’s squash takes second in NESCAC championships (Feb 11, 2015) – “Women’s squash (14-7) valiantly took on its conference rivals in the NESCAC Championships at home last Saturday and Sunday. The women started out strong, sweeping past Bowdoin in the quarterfinals and beating Middlebury in the semifinals before ultimately losing to Trinity.” Continue reading here.

- Swim & Dive (Men’s): Men’s swimming takes 13th-straight NESCAC title (Feb 25, 2015) – “Last weekend, men’s swimming and diving (7-0-1, 4-0 in the NESCAC) won its 13th-consecutive NESCAC title, beating out rival Amherst, who took second, and Conn. - Track & Field (Men’s): Men’s track clinches third in regional championship (Feb 25, 2015) – “Men’s track and field traveled to Springfield College last Friday and Saturday to pit its best against the best of Div. III New England at the Regional Championships. - Basketball (Men’s): Men’s hoops on a roll, in position for NCAA bid (Feb 22, 2000) – “The Williams College Men’s Basketball team has been on a roll, winning eight straight games. - Ice Hockey (Women’s): Women’s hockey wins first-ever tourney game (Feb 29, 2000) – “With a stellar effort from senior tri-captains Alexis Scott and Cara Shortsleeve, the Williams women’s ice hockey team defeated Bowdoin 5-2 to win its first-round ECAC playoff game and catapult itself into the ECAC Final Four.” Continue reading here.


- Skiing: Skiers perform well at Carnival on home courses (Feb 22, 2000) – “Since the end of Winter Study, the Williams ski team has been travelling all over New England to compete in different colleges’ carnivals. - Squash (Women’s): Women’s squash finishes second at D II Nationals (Feb 22, 2000) – “The Williams women’s squash team came in second place in the Division II national team championships this past weekend at Yale. - Swim & Dive (Men’s): Ephmen win 13th straight N.E. title (Feb 29, 2000) – “The Williams men’s swimming and diving team topped the scoreboard at New Englands for the 13th consecutive year as it won the three-day competition, compiling 1602 points, the second-highest point total ever.” Continue reading here.
- Swim & Dive (Women’s): Women’s swimming and diving extends N.E. winning streak (Feb 22, 2000) – “When the dust settled at Bowdoin’s Pool Sunday night, there was little doubt about who was the best team. Scoring 1609 points over the course of the three-day meeting, Williams walked away with the title by a margin of 436 points.” Continue reading here.
- Track & Field (Women’s): Women’s track and field second in New England (Feb 22, 2000) – “The women’s track team capped off a remarkable season with an exciting second place finish at Division III New Englands at Bowdoin College on Saturday. - Various: Rock climbers converge on Williams (Feb 15, 2000) – “This past Saturday, Williams hosted its third annual Intercollegiate Climbing Competition. Sponsored by the Williams Outing Club, this competition featured over 40 climing ‘routes’ on the Nate Lowe Memorial Wall in the Towne Field House. This year, the competition was attneded by over 40 climbers from 10 different schools around the Northeast, including Middlebury, Dartmouth, Cornell, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.” Continue reading here.

- Basketball (Women’s): Women’s winter sports finish year undefeated: Hoopsters beat Radcliffe with last minute stall (Mar 5, 1975) – “The Williams women’s basketball squad emphatically proved that they don’t mess around by culminating their 12-0 season with an exciting 48-45 victory over Radcliffe last Saturday.” Continue reading here.

- Basketball (Men’s): Sheehy breaks scoring record; cagers win two (Feb 19, 1975) – “‘All it means,’ joked a weary Harry Sheehy, ‘is that in three years here I’ve taken more shots than anybody else in Williams College history.’ ‘It,’ of course, is the Williams career scoring record, which now belongs to reliable no. 31.” Continue reading here.

- Ice Hockey (Men’s): Ephs gain 7th hockey victory over Jeffs (Mar 5, 1975) – “The Williams hockey team closed out its season on Saturday evening with a 4-1 victory over Amherst at Chapman Rink. It was the seventh consecutive Williams victory over the Lord Jeffs, and gave coach Bill McCormick’s skaters a clean sweep of Little Three competition for the third year in a row.” Continue reading here.

- Skiing: Townsend elected to hall of fame (Feb 26, 1975) – “Ralph J. Townsend, ski coach at Williams College since 1950 and former Olympic competitor, was named to the National Ski Hall of Fame.” Continue reading here.

- Skiing (Men’s): Skiers 6th in Carnival (Feb 19, 1975) – “Strong individual performances by Gary James in the cross country (6th) and Toby Hubner in the slalom (8th) paced the ski team to a sixth-place finish in last weekend’s Winter Carnival.” Continue reading here.
- Squash (Men’s): Racketmen are 5th in nation (Mar 5, 1975) – “Riding the crest of a season-ending five match win streak, the Williams squash team improved their national dual match ranking of sixth with a strong performance by the top six players to finish behind Harvard, Penn, Princeton, and Army in the National Intercollegiate tournament held at Princeton this past weekend.” Continue reading here.
